Turns out it was way too much of a PITA to get the bike on that built lift. I had an 8 ton Hobo Freight bottle jack hanging around doing nothing, so I modified the top of the built lift to accept the bottle jack. Works pretty good...would work better if my concrete floor was close to level.

That’s what I was hoping. I throw a socket on my cordless drill and lift my bikes in seconds. Super easy, and can fine tune height easily!

I have a jack like that that I bought from a guy locally. I got it for either $20, or $25, I don't remember. I also bought a big fairly (I think about $70-$75)expensive tank bag from him for $10. I never thought I would like a tank bag, but this one changed my mind. I love it. I just unsnap one squeeze snap, and let it slip to the side a little when I fill up with gas. I may cost me an extra 30 seconds at the gas pump, but probably not even that long. I really like the jack , but I often find it lifting my front wheel first, when I just want to raise the rear.
