ok, after about 55 miles, i can say it was a treat to be riding again ... not one person that saw it said bad things, in fact, no one even had a clue it was not a jap bike ... i lost one screw, and it was all my fault, i did not put the fork covers on, so i did not tighten the plastic clamp screws, lost one ... other than that, not one fault at all ... loved every second of it so far

well, i took of the sprocket cover last night, already has a 17t front, and a 45t rear ... i may try going a little smaller rear, i was not having to slip the clutch at all ... if it had a tachometer it would help a lot

it is fine for me, but for someone my size (5'9") new to riding 2 wheels, i think it would be a bit tall

pulled the plug today, already has a ngk in it, but it is an "r" plug, not sure why i would need a resistor type plug, anyone know if a resistor plug has a weaker spark than a non-resistor plug ... it is a little hard to start right now, but that may be that i put 93 octane in it, thinking that would be better for it, after reading on here, i see that it is to high for this motor

One reason I'm fearing getting a bright Orange bike like my kiddo likes, how many yahoos are going to eye ball my China Bike thinking it's a $10,000+ KTM sitting in the parking lot just begging to be stolen

i got one of those too, but when i took the "factory" one out, it was a DR8EA ... just not sure if if i need the "R" or not ... it seems that the storm has some "factory" upgrades like the plug and 17t/45t sprockets ... even the oil looked to be good oil, but i just couldnt chance using it, so i put in fresh rotella t 15/40

you are correct, people will indeed think it is a new KTM, that is why mine is sitting in my kitchen, until i can get my "shed" cleaned out the next warm day we get ... then all 3 china rides will be out of the house, and my wife will love me again...
