Hehe, I passed on one of those due to the over 2k price. But the one in Texarkana, I texted the guy repeatedly about it a few days ago, and called once or twice, no answer either way. I was gonna offer 1200 cash and see if he would take it, but I guess he already sold it.

I've scoured the craigslist ads for areas within a 200 mile radius for 250 cruisers, even considered some 500+cc cruisers (bad idea for me, personally), which had prices under 1800, with the thought of negotiating. But there's always something. No answer, bike sold, listed price is firm, false advertising as to condition, no title, etc. I really, really wanted a Japanese cruiser, but now I just need to get some fair transportation and be done with it.

I do thank you for your suggestion, though. You are right, they are quite good bikes. *sigh*

I have bought quite a few used bikes that I fixed up from Craigslist. These issues are universal all across the U.S. I probably had a 1 in 10 success rate in even being able to contact the owner and look over the bike, and then a 1 in 5 chance it wasn't a cheaply fixed wreck, missing the title, or had a major mechanical problem - all with the owner unwilling to budge from their unreasonable price. Usually because they bought it for a project, paid too much for it, and realized it will cost a lot more to get it back on the road, so they don't want to take the loss and try to pass it on to the next sucker.

People are dishonest and stupid. Crazy is how you would define me - buy a bike for $500, spend $1200 fixing it/restoring it. Sell it for $1500 lol
