There yah' go, somewhere in this mess is most of your answers (and a few pics here and there)... looks like I have to go back and edit a few things in my first post, my top speed has gone up a few mph from the 82.6 mph post

Rad! I bookmarked it. Looks like the exhaust and battery were your 2 biggest spenders.

Late to this party, but not bad. I never found my Hawk to struggle with keeping up in traffic as long as the highway speed limit wasn't above 65mph. I had the bike to over 70 a few times, but being so tall and light it was definitely about the limit of my comfort zone on that bike.

A windshield and/or fairing can make all the difference. My GL1000 could easily crest 100mph, but being a completely naked bike, anything over 80 was a definite workout for the neck.
In contrast, my VFR1200 - a bike that can effortlessly reach well past 130mph in a VERY short amount of time (top speed is 187mph at redline in 6th gear) - is almost boring to ride even at 90mph. Dead stable and drama free, and only the slightest bit of buffeting on my helmet if it sit up straight.
