My buddy claims that the Chinese tires are not regular rubber. Know if this is true.

It seems to me that they use a rubber that gets hard faster.

My buddy who owns a tire shop says that China tires often have a larger percentage of synthetic rubber, vs. natural rubber. That's what makes them so hard.

Watch the turf tamers carefully, the 18 inch ones are very thin and flexy, but like to get tears over rocks. The last set I used seemed to be made of a really soft rubber too, and wore out quickly.

So far the machine is working well. Took it on the trails and the new tires did great.

It seems you never see a picture of a Chinese ATV getting dirty. Here is one from a few weeks ago.

This is a follow up review of this unit. We've had it for 9 months and it runs well and rides as well as when we got it. The suspension is harsh and always has been. The issues we've had are that the remote starter system has had an issue where it will sometimes spin the starter on its own when the unit is already running. Disconnecting the remote system fixed this but now it has to be shut off with the kill switch. The key switch won't shut if off when the remote system is not plugged in. The other issue is that the chain slaps the swingarm unless it is adjusted just perfectly. For what we paid for the unit used it has been a decent unit. It has started every time I tried this winter. The battery could use replacing but is still working.

If your kids no longer require the remote start, it's a good thing to ditch. I'm sure there's a way to enable the key switch again, and my guess is with a different CDI.

As an examle, my Lifan came with some ridiculous alarm, and I struggled with removing it and making it behave properly. I can't remember exactly how it went, but if I mixed the wrong CDI with the alarm, I didn't need a key to start the bike! I think the answer in my case will be to use a different CDI when I unplug the alarm. I'm guessing that your quad is similar.
