exhaust is usually bigger cause it has more heat applied to it and would expand a little more than the intake.

So you think the manual is wrong then? It says .04-.06mm intake and .05-06mm exhaust.

they will run at most anything from 0 to 12. but for them to be the same when the bike is warmed up to operating temps they have to be set different because the exhaust will expand more than the intake. theoretically at operating temps they will both be at 0.

I've always run the CG motors at .05mm intake and .08mm exhaust for no other reason than the slightly wider exhaust gives you longer between adjustments. As timcosby said, it takes lots more heat. It's usually the exhaust valve that tightens up first as they wear.

I will check and see how they look at 500 miles or so and readjust as needed. I actually think we set it the exhaust to .06 after thinking about it. Thanks for the advise.
