No idea why they do it, nor is it a big deal, just something I noticed.
I noticed that too. No big deal.

Top speed aside, then seems we are talking about the best acceleration between the carburetors and low speed torque and drive ability. Another consideration would be fuel mileage in relation to performance increase. As far as a stock motor, until we have evidence of how a smooth bore works on a stock engine we have not really established if there is substantial improvement to justify its use. And then how easy is it to tune a PE30 or PWK30?
I'll probably install the PE30 on my new bike before doing the head work just to see if there are any improvements on a stock engine. The PZ30 pumper carb is performing well on the new bike.

Thanks Dan and Jerry for the input. You guys have the smooth bore experience. I got a PWK 30 several months ago and am working out the manifold, I am going to try it out on a unported head setup too but gonna be awhile. I had it apart yesterday and works no different changing the jets and it has an idle speed and mixture screw same as the others. I like my PZ30b too but the thing about these China Bikes is once you do a mod and get a little performance improvement you can't stop! lol
