Yeah... I agree. Red loctite is a really bad idea. If you feel you have to use loctite, use blue. More ideally though, actually torque the thing down. 50lb-ft.

Successful Replacement aftermarket part!!!!
After six (6) long weeks, I finally got a steering stem nut in the mail that fits. On eBay, I ordered item 5830767, Pro Bolt LTYOKEO10BK Aluminum Steering Stem Nut- M24 X 1.00 mm. It went on with no issues!
What does everyone recommend for torque specs on the steering stem nuts and the handle bar bolts (four of then)? |

Agreed. In all my years of working on motorcycles for myself and friends, I've never seen that nut fall off. Just tighten it down with the fork pinch bolts loose. Then tighten down the pinch bolts last.

red loctite is fine, just heat gun to 200 and it will comr off easy,trust me ive been doin this stuff for 60 years.
