So the stator is bad, would my bike stay running? I have had to jump it because the battery isn't charging.....but can ride for hours with no problems and if it dies, I can kick start it with one kick after it has been warmed up. Although, the electric start won't work because the battery isn't staying charged up. Just trying to use the process of elimination. I'm pretty clueless when it comes to this stuff, I just know that when an alternator goes out on a car, it won't stay running.

I'm thinking bad battery. Disconnect the battery and check voltage from battery cables while it's running.

Listen to whoever tells you to make it so it doesn't take MINUTES to start it. Batteries are not designed to do that and you are burning them up.

Hurt to read this crap. "I'm totally stressing my entire electrical system and I just can't figure out why I keep burning up electrical components". Good lord.

I checked the battery and it is good...I'm going to change the regulator and see if that fixes the charging issues. Fingers crossed!
