Hate to necro this thread. I just bought a Core 2 and wanted to add some pics just in case it helps someone else.

Here is where I decided to cut my my pipe. I could have cut it closer to the bend but I wanted to leave myself a little bit of room to work.

another pic of the cut

This is where my joint was with that cut. I sanded the stock pipe and used a lil lube to help with my dry fits. I made sure to sand and clean again when I was happy with the fit.

Because I placed the cut farther back I will need to trim the midpipe that comes with the Core 2 as you can see here

and here

This is about where I want it to finish after I cut the midpipe

I will add some more pics. I had a couple buddies show up to inspect my work and we started shooting the @#$% and I barely had time to finish before it got dark.

I don't know about anybody else, but bringing back an old thread from the dead doesn't bother me, especially if it includes good tech like yours.

Where did you buy your Core 2 from? What size is the inlet pipe?

that is real close to what i ended up with on my zong, say goodbye to that reflector as it will disappear.Try it with the stock jetting as you may be ok.I went too big on the jet right of the get go and it wasn't needed.

Thank you for posting the good information, and the nice photos, Bama. I would encourage you to mount your TC2 silencer a little bit farther forward. If you get too far back, the exhaust will blacken, and perhaps damage your right, rear turn signal.

Also, the stock main jet should be just about perfect if you are riding near sea level.

Your photos are excellent, Bama. When you finish the job, will you please document your installation in another thread? I am sure your report will help other Zongites.

Are you using a Wal-Mart, ATV seat cover? How do you like your seat cover?
