You shouldn't have any problems getting spare parts for you Zong, Rob.

I performed a Yamaha, XT225 swingarm conversion on my Zong, so I don't need the 15-inch, dual sport tires. However, many Zong owners in the United States would love to get those tires, and they are not available here. :(

Hi Rob_Zong,

Glad to hear that you have Zong too. Our Zong is little different from Spuds. He's model doesn't have kill switch on kick stand. A quick fix is to remove one screw out and point the thing down like on the pics that i've done. So kick stand won't catch on it when extended.

Thanks, I was thinking of doing something like that, atm I've fixed it but I was thinking of being safe and disabling it. I will have to do that next week!

Cheers! :

Indeed, the Zongs imported into the United States don't have any safety switches installed on them. I would examine your kick stand switch to determine if it is normally open, or normally closed when the bike is able to run. Then I would either unplug the switch, and remove it entirely, or connect the two wires together, and remove the switch from the bottom of the bike.

yup, as spud says, better to connect them wires permanently and remove the switch. moving it to the side will still kill the engine when the pin meets any object.
but if you re young and this is your first bike, leave it on, until you are used to taking the stand in. it s a matter of good habits and being alert and so on.

I love the pictures!

Considering how far a guy can ride a 200cc Zong (believe me, I know!) maybe I can take my 40 year old CB175 touring!

Welcome to these forums, fellow Zongite! Thank you for posting the wonderful photographs! If I may ask, where do you live?
