gives me a starting point to check stuff out... they common hose or special fittings? as for torque bind, i am going to see about the FWD fuse trick, if it goes away, solenoid is good from what i am reading... not going to rule out a cv shaft just yet though either...

On grams Forester, it was leaking from the Trans Cooler Lines (driver side), the clamp was a little loose... all I did was tighten it down, fill up with trans fluid and change out the External Transmission Filter, that problem was solved... the leak also got one of the connectors near by wet... take it apart, clean and spray with 'Dielectric Grease' and made sure all the pins for the connectors were touching... "CEL" and "Transmission" issues fixed on her car...

She lives out in Ohio and all the subaru's I own have Manual Transmissions... sorry I can't go snap a pic for you on where to look... I didn't have to remove anything to do the fixes, the spot was easily accessible if I remember correctly

Also had a similar fix on a friends Outback (also a auto transmission, similar year too)

just so ya know, my wife has loved her 2016 so far... traded in an 04 F350 v10 4x4 on it

I decided to try Letgo, whata joke. Put in my SoCal zip code and I'm getting ads from the whole country. First page had 2 or 3 in califonia, none local, the rest of the page had all different states to the east coast. Many titles are useless, no price till you open an ad, etc. And for whoever said there's no scammers, well the same was said about Craigslist for a long time so beware.

Six years was a good run.

What did I buy today? Absolutely nothing, and nothing until April 15th. Just got the taxes done. :-( Same crap, different year.

Fuel tank tool box key lock assembly for the RPOC from Ural of New England.
http://www.uralne.com/lock-assembly-...ated-tool-box/

A major PITA to use the RPOC key to open and close that little box.
Thinking about the keyed trunk lock, too, but that's a C-note for the kit.

I'm not sure what I bought today while I was sleeping, but when I woke up my wife suggested that I pick up an overtime shift.
I hope it's nice.

Just bought a ton of marine grade wire, several kinds of connectors, bosch 30a relays, 2 pair of 110 decibel dual tone horns... and I also ended up with another car although that deal wont be done until Saturday... I'm considering that $$$ as good as spent

Car is not cool or anything special... my sister-in-law bought a new(er) SUV and forgot about having to pay for plates/reg/insurance etc... her 'new' Jeep set her back $4,500... her entire budget for a new(er) vehicle... so we offered her a small amount for her old Chevy/Geo/Suzuki Metro 4 door and she accepted...

Still haven't actually seen the car in person... so I don't know if it's the 0.99 liter 3 cylinder or the "full monty" 1.3 liter 4 cylinder engine... don't know if it's a carbureted or a fuel injection version... only things I do know, it's an automatic transmission... like all Metro cars it has rear drum brakes (NOOOO!!! )... it needs some exhaust work... and it's too "new" of a model (1997) to have a turbo bolted on it from the factory

I also heard it gets great gas mileage (40+ mpg) and she has never went on the highway/interstate with it, claiming "it wont go that fast" (but how do you know if you haven't gone on those roads )... sometimes has a "hard start" issue when extremely cold (carb? dirty injectors? stuck throttle plate? etc. ?)

After I get it on Sat, I will snap a pic and do my usual stuff... clean out the interior, clean up and spray any rust spots, a wonderful 4 stage fuel system and top cylinder cleaning with my BG Induction System Cleaning tools, coolant system flush, "Neutra 131 Purge" in the engine/transmission/power steering fluids, new DOT 4 brake fluid, new ignition components on top of Iridium spark plugs and NGK wires, adjust the parking/drum brakes (damn you drums!!!), check and probably change the vacuum hoses/pcv/air filter/intake system to something that works, and also find out what the hell "needs exhaust work" actually means

This car will live on regular 85 to 87 gas, get to drink 5w-40 Rotella motor oil with a nice Bosch 99.99% oil filter, and get Havoline or Mobil 1 ATF for the rest of it's life...

Total cost to me... will probably be about $80 to clean everything up and plate/insure it for the year...

Spent a bunch today and a lot more to come. Bought new siding for the east side of my house plus an entry door and storm door. Got the old siding ripped off and New put on, then painted it and installed the new door. I'm done for the day. Tomorrow I'll install the storm door and then start on the new 12x24 deck. When that's finished I will start the north side of the house; new windows and siding. No new motorcycle parts for me for a while lol.

I'll post pics when the deck is finished. It's still in the embarrassing stage at the moment. Tools and materials scattered all over the yard lol
