I like it! Wonder how it holds up in the rain though?

He should waterproof it with packing tape.

New speedo cable installed. I lubed it really well before putting it on and this time made sure I had the bottom end seated all the way.

Also today I learned that I can change the fuel pump on a honda ruckus in 10 minutes. Honda wanted $85 shop labor to do that.

Is it a simple three barb vacuum pump (meaning one vacuum barb and two fuel barbs)?

I think the "stealerships" make their real money on parts, and labor!

It is electric. The old one was making a clicking noise and wasn't able to supply enough fuel any more.

I think so too. The job was extremely easy if you laid the bike over on its side.

The honda manual says to remove everything from the top side which would probably take an hour. I am sure the tech would have done the same thing as me.

Broke down at the office yesterday. Electrical trouble. Believe it is in the switched installed to bypass the keyswitch.

Also the throttle cable has siezed up. Everything was fine when I parked it.

At least my boss lives in the same direction.

Back up and running again.

I now have a keyswitch and a key. Redid some electrical and installed me a 12v power outlet.

Installed the old throttle cable after a good cleaner and lubing. It seems to be working just fine now.

Took for a test drive and compare the GPS speed to indicated. 2-3mph optimistic. Not bad.

Only thing is that I got a switch for the regular elite 150 and not the deluxe. It works, but the doesn't have the wire for the pop up light.

I can live with it. The light just stays up.

12 volt outlets are handy, I put one on my KLR so that I can pump the tires back up after going gravel road/ trail riding. Also handy for charging my cell phone

I'm glad you got you scoot back up and running, Allen!

You guys are starting to convince me to install a 12-volt outlet on both my bikes.
