Installed the exhaust and tank bag. Still waiting for the Mikuni Carb and UNI pod filter.

The units you showed us have roll-a-click levers as well. That would be a nice benefit.

Perhaps as a by-product, but the real intent is smoother action and less effort.

What Pilot/Main Jet are you using (and clip on the needle)? What is the Pilot Adjustment Screw at? and what is your altitude?
Oh... and did you take apart and clean the inside of the carb before you installed it? That's all I could come up with for now

I took apart the carb and cleaned it with carb cleaner. First try was a 130 main jet/20 pilot at various needle settings and it idled fine but ran super rich at throttle. I saw a bunch of people say 130 so I thought it would work but I also saw people running 115 so went to that.
now the main jet is 115 pilot is a 20. I started pilot adjustment screw at 1 1/2 turns. altitude is ~300ft Tried more turns and less turns on the adjustment screw and it doesn't make it better. Needle is on the 3rd notch from the bottom but I also tried second from the bottom. I also think I may have bent the needle :( I tried to get it out without taking out the carb(I know silly me). Is there a secret to adjust the mixture screw without taking out the carb? there is no easy way to get at it I can see. |

I cut down a phone repair screwdriver so it would fit between the starter and the carb. The tiny phone repair screwdrivers work perfect. Just dont burn your hands! I did that many times... lol |

I would go up to a 25 or bigger pilot, our 197cc didn't even like to run on the 20 pilot and I'm sitting just over 6,000 feet above sea level
