I plan on doing a performance CDI and coil here pretty soon, whats your opinions? I've heard good and bad things about them as far as performance increase.
Also, I plan on changing sprocket/chain combo, I would like to cruise at 55 comfortably. From what I've read, 16T and 44T, where can I order these, and what chain should I buy?
How much does this affect the low end power of the bike (1-3 gears, already lacking)
Thanks

I'm not sure if there would be a measurable benefit to the coil, but I'd certainly try a new CDI. There is merit to a more aggressive ignition advance curve.

Give us specs on both sprockets, and we can guide you towards replacements.

Here's a gear ratio chart that will guide you. http://www.jtsprockets.com/fileadmin...tgearratio.pdf As you'll see, you're aiming for a 2.75:1 ratio, which is quite high. What ratio do you have now?

That front fender looks really cool! Big improvement over the original.

I'm diggin' all three of those pieces. 8) Is that a plate mount under the taillight on the rear fender? Does it have a plate light as well? Do you have links to those items?

Did some exhaust modifications, paired with intake modifications and a carb tune, much significant power increase.
Awesome right?
No, now my clutch slips at full throttle (post shift)
Suggestions? Higher performance ideas?

Also my sprocket combo is 16/44T
I frequently use this bike to cruise 55mph, and feel that is too high in the revs to be comfortable.
What should I use?

You're sitting at 2.75:1 right now, which is quite high. You could try a 16 / 42 combo, and that will raise your ratio even higher to 2.63:1.

So just a new 42T rear sprocket, no change in chain?

Doesnt seem that high to me, but I just read the 16/44 thread, and the guy said he was pullin 75?
Mine does maybe 65 with that combo, topped out. Maybe because I have a 150?
Plenty of getup, seems like 1-3 gear are too close.
I'll have to re-count the teeth and double check to verify.

Your bike isn't likely to attain the the same speeds as a 200, no matter what. The fact that your clutch is slipping doesn't help matters.

They just don't make em like they used to. My father had a 1969 Suzuki 90cc, I repeat 90cc, Dual Purpose. (That's dual sport these days) Sort of like this one.

And that little beast could do 60+. I had one when I was 13 that was this model, a 1972 I think, except it didn't have the Dual Purpose.

Little history too if you aren't all familiar, the Dual Purpose Suzuki had a "switch". The T shaped lever above the left foot peg, that you had to switch to change the gear ratio for on-road or off-road.

Random but fun trivia brothers.
