Your photos are beautiful; you have a wonderful artistic eye. Indeed, your Canon S90 camera does a superb job with low light conditions!

Thanks, zingshoen. Here is my traveling setup on the Mavila, a 35 liter Pelican case and a one gallon Rotopax, should give me a 230+ mile range. Going to try and ride south to Nazca this week, heading north to Huaraz next week. I've added some recent photos from the Andes.

Your photographs are beautiful, as always. Thank you, OG. How did you attach your Pelican case to your luggage rack?

oldgringo, I hope to get down that way before I die, preferably by bike, or at least by plane and get a bike. I would definitely need you to show me around!

Weldandgrind, Spud and Doc, thanks.
Spud, the Pelican case is part of a Caribou system, I had all the hardware including the mounting plate, I've used the same Pelican on a KLR and Versys. I'm having second thoughts today, it will be fine for around town but I don't think the rack will last long off road. I'll test it on a short off road ride. culcune, my door is always open, if you ever head down this way I'll show you places where no tourist has ever been. Doc, I'm not a pro but my photos have been published in a few magazines and books. I've got good cameras and a lot of patience, so I get a few good photos.

I also bet you have good people skills. You could not get such wonderful natural expressions from people otherwise.

I rode back up to Huaraz, my novia, Charito took the bus, the Mavila has enough poke it get me up into the Andes but I would be asking for trouble if I tried it two-up. Huaraz is a great town, relatively safe, and very inexpensive, a good hotel room is about eight dollars, I'll be going back up later this month, here are some photos.
The road to Huaraz The town liquor store, they sell alcohol in plastic jugs, it seems odd to me that the store is named after a patron saint. Cuy in local market Overlooking Huaraz Street vendors in Huaraz

OG, once again your photos are quite remarkable. I appreciate your ability to capture real life in such an honest way.
I had to look up a couple of the words. Cuy gave me a good laugh; Mrs. Weldangrind wasn't as amused. Is that your novia overlooking Huaraz?
