Looks like it is a just a routing thing. This may be the next big thing for the China bike market.

Amen to that . It it proves to hold up as well as a typical Chinamotor (NOT the XY400 engines that have become anathema :twisted: ) and the price is right this could change everything in the CB marketplace.
They could power anything from small cruisers and light tourers to motocrossers with that engine, if they can refine it enough.

I would love to have a 450cc bike although a smaller one would still get me to work and back. I think I would use the gravel roads.
Was looking for a ct90 that I could repower.

I'm not trying to be negative; I have high hopes for this engine. However, I wish the Chinese would just make a faithful copy of these Japanese engines. :roll: I'm particularly concerned about the cam chain tensioner. I don't think the Chinese should be "modifying" that component with a different design. :roll:

Could be Spud but overall it looks like a pretty close copy...
With that said I would not be an 'early adopter' if you know what I mean! I also would have liked a little better if they cloned the XR400 engine. :? Even the Honda 450 is NOT know as a reliable high use/mileage unit. Indeed out of the high performance 450's (not saying this engine will share the same extreme redline and compression) the Honda is generally regarded as the one with the shortest lifespan. Usually its Yamaha/KTM as the most solid, then Kawasaki/Suzuki, the Honda in terms of motocrosser longevity.

The XR400 engine is one of the most reliable bike engines ever made, and it has no cooling system to fail to speak of, other than the oil cooler.
