I don't see any black/white wires in my wiring diagram. A blue/white wire should come from the CDI unit to the kill switch. When the kill switch is closed, the blue/white wire completes a circuit with a green wire, which is ground.

I also don't see any pink, or tan wires in the wiring diagram. There is a brown wire which supplies power to the neutral indicator light, and the tail light.

Check the ZS200GY-2 wiring diagram at the end of the European Service Manual.

On another note, have you checked the ignition switch? I wonder if it has been altered.

We'll help you figure it out, Fish. One thing that may be a benefit to you is to buy a complete Sierra harness. I did that just for the connectors, but you could replace your entire harness for cheap, and know that it's correct.

X2 on both points. Here is a link to the wiring harness on Taobao.

Yes, your Zong will run without the kill switch. However, you will need to use the ignition key to turn off the engine.

My money is on the stator. Yes, TB is a slow process, but it's totally worth it.

You might want to place a second order and get a wiring harness on the way.

I agree; I think the stator and/or pickup coil are bad. I have replaced two stators in my Zong, and I replaced another stator in my friend Andy's Yamaha TT-R225. These stators get very hot while operating, and eventually short out. The stator is a consumable item.

That's a good case for an oil cooler. The stator runs in oil for cooling, but it might be generating too much heat for the oil to be a benefit.

You realize how hot the stator gets in operation, after you realize the engineers decided to bathe the stator in hot engine oil to cool it down!

Once again, Taobao is your friend. You can buy a complete gasket set for peanuts. However, you probably need to get OEM Yamaha seals for the kick starter and gear shifter. You can get Yamaha parts from Rocky Mountain ATV/MC, Cyclepartswarehouse, HondaEast, et cetera.

Search the internet for the best price on an FMF Universal Spark Arrestor. You want the 1-1/4" silencer.
