Oh yeah I took the limit screw out. I am old enough to control my speed. Forgot to say that!

Evanb143, welcome to China Riders!...and everything you've explained in your post is what we've all thought in our heads and what we've gone through with our buddies about China bikes and quads. I also searched CL when I was first in the market for a used quad and found nothing but junk with torn seats, weathered plastics and ten years old for top dollar. Plus, like you, I wasn't going to be using it that much. Just hauling my cart around the property. I'm the age now where I'm no longer hard on my stuff so I wasn't worried about needing the top-of-the-line Polaris. The CG Hondoid motors in these are extremely durable, were designed that way purposely, and have a long history. Also, the China bike/quad have come a long way in the last decade. The flack you're taking from your buddies is the exact same thing my grandpa said about the Japanese bikes when they started hitting our shores and now look at them. Not to let the wind out of your sails, there is no hitch out there for it that I've found, so I made my own. http://www.chinariders.net/showthrea...=15117&page=10 Please feel free to browse the entire thread for things I've done with my Rhino. I try to take enough pics to help others along with upgrades. Gearing, I have the opposite problem from you. I just need to pull stuff around. I've had it on the asphalt a couple time and have never hit 4th. I've not checked top speed but it definitely fast enough for me. Funonemax had a larger rear sprocket made and I need to get one of those. You should be able to get a larger front sprocket to pick up your top speed from JT sprockets. You can go a tooth or so bigger on the front (countershaft), just not smaller with the size chain we have. Yes, the headlights are "for display purposes only". I did LEDS on mine and wired them into the high beams.

Just finished getting it rolling. It's safe in the backyard now. The rain chased me inside.
Those plastic foot covers are gonna need some work to fit. I heard they were tough but DAMNNNN!! I took a quick peek at the headlight bulb last night. I want to try changing the bulb to an actual LED upgrade bulb. I found these which look close https://www.ledlight.com/1156-1157-a...ed-lights.aspx most of them can be selected with a similar mount post. |

"The motor is the 167FMM so my worries of getting the smaller 200cc engine are over."
The engine in mine is labeled 171FMM but actual measurement shows it's 63.5mm X 62.2mm so should have been labeled 163FML (200cc). Doubt there is much difference in power between the two. |

Okay so you can't go by the sticker on the motor. That sucks. Just want to get as close to 250cc as I can... need the mules.

Scratch what I posted about those LED's.. won't work.
Looks like the bulb is PX15d/P15D25/H6M any of those three series. Not sure if my lights are AC or DC and if like other stuff on the bike + is ground. I read some comments the TaoTao's may be AC Finding plenty of LED bulbs in those series on Amazon.. just not sure if the polarity on mine is normal. I know LED's are picky what is - and what is + or they wont light up. It would be nice to be able to use the headlights that came on the Rhino as actual functional headlights. LOL I figured out why the rear axle is 6 inches too short on the Rhino. It's so they can fit it in the crate. Screw rideability I guess.. just get it in the smallest crate you can. Would be nice if they threw in a set of wheel adapters to get the wheelbase right. |

The CG motors are so docile though, even if it did measure out correctly, I doubt there would be much difference. They're all about reliability and longevity, not thundering power.

I don't have a pic of the mounts. I just bored a hole in the right spot on the plastic bumper cover, ran the (provided) light mounts thru them and ran the nuts and washers on the bottom side. They actually mount to the plastic.
