You can probably copy the pics if you try another browser. That's similar to a trick I learned about internet voting to win motorcycles.

The Shineray X5 engine appears to be a fairly close copy of the XR400R engine, with an electric starter! I started a new thread on the Shineray X5.

I like their products so far, and I hope this isn't one of the Rotax / Honda hybrids.

That does not look like the Rotax hybrid clunker engine to me.

On the other hand, $6,000!!!!!!! 8O 8O 8O

That's like a new DRZ or a nearly new KTM!!!!

I agree with FastDoc. These vendors are charging way too much for Chinese motorcycles! 8O

It looks so much like a honda 450 clone . If it has complete parts interchange . 5000 mite be worth it .

Current list price DRZ400: $6,199.

Usual sale price in my area $5,750.

5,750 X 65%= $3,737.

The most I would recommend paying for a totally unknown bike with unknown and unlikely support unseen would be $3,737 and that would be a heck of a stretch. The most I would recommend would be maybe $3,000.

And for that same $3,000 a guy could find a nice clean 5 year old DRZ.

I am NOT BASHING Chinabikes here, just pointing out some economic realities.

I like CB's don't get me wrong. They can be fun, effective, decent quality, affordable bikes. But until they can rival Suzuki's dealer network, parts and aftermarket support, quality, and performance, they do no merit the same price.

That's where I came up with the formula used above.

You did a great job on that beautiful bike. 8)

The 200cc OHC/OHV Hondoids are good investments and make excellent project starting points.

A 400+cc $6,000 bike is a different matter entirely.
