I could reverse this also I suppose and trace the RX3 rack and holes and use that to figure out where the holes on the JCW plate need to be

Indeed, you already have the perfect template at your disposal. That is the exact method I plan to employ.

This is exactly what I did....the foam pad that goes under the JC Whitney trunk mount, had holes almost exactly where the 2 front holes need to be drilled....I should have taken pics.....
