T, you bring the beer, I fix the quad.
I will email him later tonight, see if he sold it.. apologize for not answering right away, not looking too eager, try to get another $50 off.

He may have sold it to someone already though, judging by his eagerness to come down in price and not answering you. I couldn't have got out to PoCo tonight before 8 if I hustled, have more time tomorrow.

Well kids I know own a one year old Beast. Shocked really.
$250 bucks.

Got it home, gave it a look over. Throttle cable was locked somewhere, took the top cap off and adjusted it. Works like it should now. Thought there was something amiss there as it smelled of fuel.

Back tire is flat, about to put air into it and see if it holds it.

Have a new NGK plug there, was loose when I checked it. Won't spark, but battery was quite low so have the charger on it.

Inspected the wiring, looking like the front brake lever wires are severed. Could be the no spark issue... little more investigation needed.

Haha yeah I'm sure W&G is eager to drink my beer.

I noticed another wire busted off somewhere else, up along the side just under the body kit, about mid seat. I'm not sure what this piece is for. I tried to push the wire back on to reconnect them but either that didn't work or there is still some other problem.

The back tire is FUBAR'd, need a new one. It's so bad it's coming off the rim, won't hold air.

My other problem is I can't get this thing into my yard, which was a fear of mine. It won't fit through the gate. Argh! Going to have to drag it to my parents for storage, but can't do it tonight.. tucked it in beside my house and covered it up, hard to see now but I still don't like that.

Have a look on the auction site, John has some nice deals on Beast tires, maybe cheaper than ordering a single replacement.

Any questions just ask me on a Friday and I can go do some looking, tell you what wire goes where, etc.

Cheers!

I had a quick look tonight before dinner. Looks like a set of tires coming up on auction tomorrow.
Just hope the rim is fine on this one.

Electrical piece weird. Not rectifier and not the solenoid or cdi. Some other cylindrical shaped thing
Tucked just below the body kit. Ill take pictures next time I get a chance.

Perhaps, although I thought that was under the nose, perhaps that's the stator and this is the coil. I have pictures, will post new thread for discussion in ATV section shortly.

Bring it over, my friend. We'll have Electrical Identification 101.

"Gail" reposted the bike, still $4000. http://abbotsford.en.craigslist.ca/mcy/1436320578.html

I sent an email, I was polite, but mentioned that the price was unrealistic, if she wanted to sell it she would need to lower it. I probably shouldn't have, the fact that she will have the bike forever at that price will tell her the same thing, but I was polite about it. I got a really rude reply though. And the email address name is pamela something.

Hahahaha!! Oooops.

I think the best way to respond to those is to just RE: it right into the CL listings themselves, with the no-reply option selected.
That way your personal email doesn't get slammed by venom, and you can have a chuckle at any RE RE reposts to CL.

Good on you for letting her know though, much as she's unappreciative.
