Not a countdown this time. Just a statement. Told the International CEO that I'm not interested in a second extension for any amount of money.

It’s looking like 2022 may be the final year of the Service Dept, the only department in the outfit that works. After I go in June, Harold will probably be stepping down at the end of year. Not because he wants to, but because he’s just tired of fighting the corporate BS.

All field staff, Sales and Service, are going to fall under the BS known as Salesforce by the end of the year. We’ve been fighting it since International bought into it three years ago. We were all threatened that there would be ‘severe consequences’ if we failed to kowtow to the Overlords demands. So far, the Overlords have gotten a collective middle finger from us. Latest ‘severe consequences’ were threatened pay cuts and or termination. Latest reply from the Field staff was that it looked like December 31st would be their last day.

What corporate is trying to do is to get everyone to account for every minute of their working day. Right now, those who are covered by it are spending more time accounting than getting their job done. Get a call asking for a part number, punch out of what you are doing, take the call, record the length of the call and who it was with, punch back into what you were doing. Won’t work with the field guys and it’s been pointed out many times. Do you want results or do you want reports? Pick one, you can’t have both.

As there is light at the end of the tunnel for me, I’ve been punching holes in this BS since it started and calling out the drones that are insisting on it. I got threatened with disciplinary action a few weeks ago after telling one the International goobers to nicely have sex with himself. Promises, promises. It’s not nice to tease.

The people who don't actually get stuff done, manage. Corporate weenies f***ing things up and having to scramble to deflect blame. Glad you're getting out soon.

Maybe it's time to remind the corporate dicks that you know where the bodies are buried...and why. I wouldn't share ANY of the tribal knowledge that you have, as of now. Take it out the door when you leave- and change your phone# !

The Elgin dicks would love it if I took another extension, though not happening. Harold and I had that discussion last week. The Beaufort dicks would be happy if I left sooner rather than later. Therefore, I won’t leave before June 30th just to screw with them.

They feel us Elgin guys are a cancer on the company. Actually, we’re re the ones that know our jobs, the customers, and the market.

1. Thanks for leaving on my birthday. Makes it more special.

2. So obviously you must leave. On the way out the door, can you send a report over the heads of the Beaufort dix to let the Supreme Leader know what's going on?

Plan B: come back as a consultant for ridiculously more money. With the power to call the shots. Probably a fantasy, but hey.

Give it 3 months after he leaves. They'll shoot that offer to him. Triple pay, for half the work, and you can say whatever you want, because you don't actually work for them, and they NEED YOU! lol.

Once you decide to go, go-and never look back. When I left nine years ago, I felt lucky. I was still in relatively good health and young enough to enjoy it. In the years that followed, I had really stupid money waved at me to get me back, even temporarily. To me, it wasn't worth it. No stress, no dealing with idiots and office dicks with a little bit of book knowledge but no common sense, I do what I want when I want, and am still amazed at how filled my days are. How did I ever manage to work too, all those years? You'll do the same!

Cheesy decides to return as a consultant, meets the Beaufort head guy in the CEO's office. Cheesy's argument prevails.

^^^Ha!
I had breakfast with Old Weird Harold this morning. Still trying to talk me out of retirement but I think he just wanted someone to BS with someone that's not related to him. Also wanted someone else to buy.
