There are three wires going to each headlight. White//Blue/Green. My led light set has a Red/Black wire coming out of each light. Wire black to black and red to red and then red to white and black to blue. Then just run off either the left or right wiring going into either headlight.
This configuration works like this. When the headlights are on and on low beam...only the atv stock lights are on. When you push the switch for high beam all the lights come on. Like looking into the sun.lol
Perfect, this is how I wanted to wire mine. I have seen some people wire off the battery, but I wanted to use the wires from the headlights. I'm hoping there is an auxiliary plug that I can use for this on the Bull. On my Son's Coolster 125cc, there is a auxiliary plug for an additional light to be plugged into.

Could you provide a link to the lights you purchased? I would like to get an idea how bright they are, and what the power requirements are.

Thanks for the help.

I decided to inspect that speedometer to see if there was a programmer on the board. No programmer to be found. Might just be a case of unsoldering one wire and moving it to one of the empty locations, but I am not smart enough that know which. I am a pretty good solderer, but I need a schematic detailing what is what.

For MPH selection it could be a jumper. All the connection points on the board seem to be labeled. Have you tried calling TaoTao tech support from there website.

Doubt you are the only one asking this question. It does seem to be an option.

Have not called but may try to do that. Yeah it is definitely an option. When first turn the key on all potential options are displayed for a split second and then it reverts to it's programmed state. Mph and kph is one of the options displayed for a split second before it automatically chooses kph for you.

Yeah I hear you... does seem to be an option. Just surprised there isn't at least a single push button somewhere, or even one of those pinhole style ones to tweak the settings.

So you have turn signals on the Bull and a fuel gauge? I saw the markings on the board for L and R and wires hooked to it, looks like you do.

No signals or fuel gauge. They must intend to use the same speedometer on utv's or buggy's with more display function.

Does your ATV have a VIN card rivited to the frame? Also, does your emissions label say it's compliant with CA emissions? All I could find was a sticker on the frontof the frame that says frame ID. The emissions label just says it is EPA compliant.

Did you get a paper title with your bike? Idid not get one with mine, but my Apollo, and Coolster did.

There is a plate riveted to the frame in front but haven't got dowm there on my knees to try to read it. I assumed it was a frame ID or vin. I got certificates with my three Coolster ATV's as well but not with this Tao Tao.
Not required to title it where I live but might be handy to show proof of ownership in case it was stolen or a home disaster. My ATV'S do get stickered from the city so I can run on the city streets.

As for California emission standards..all three of my coolsters had lean jetted sealed California carbs that were unsuitable for Illinois climate. I had to modify the carbs to make jet accessable. So I am hoping my Bull 200 does not have a California carb.

ckangaroo70:

Thank you for the link to the LED lights, and confirming the Paper Title. I filled out an MCO form on TX powersports, so I should have a paper title in a few weeks. I'll call TaoTao today in regards to the CARB approval rating. I'll also ask about the MPH/KMH display.

Both my Apollo 250, and Coolster 125cc have plates riveted to the frame saying they are CA compliant. TaoTao just says EPA. Gotta love California, they sure do make things very simple...

What type of oil did you use?

I ran 1 hour on cheap 10-40 dino oil and then drained that and put in 750ml of 10-40w Royal Purple. I used to build racing go kart engines and that Royal Purple is some seriously good stuff. Everybody has an opinion on oil, but on the track it was obvious who ran the good stuff vs the not so good stuff. I had some of the highest hour engines on the track. Anybody buy a Bull 200 that's not Green? Want to see a bit of variety.lol

Forgot to mention that I also drained the transmission of that China lube and used some good 80/90 lube. I am partial to the quicksilver marine lower unit lube but I was out and just used the Wally world cheap 80/90.

My Coolster DX2 150cc nose to nose with my TaoTao Bull 200. Very similar in stance.

Cool, I wasn't sure if I needed to run the motorcycle oil or not. Once I power up my unit, I'll verify if I am displaying MPH/KMH. If I am MPH, will take a picture of the back of the circuit board to compare against yours.
