Couldn't help myself, had to post a pic lol. They make 4 small blocks in 23, 26, 29, and 30.5cc, and 3 big blocks in 32, 36, and 45cc. This one's a 36, I'll run it till it's tired and then buy a 45 for $300.

The funny thing is the small blocks can turn faster rpm so there's not much difference between a 23cc and the big block 32. The 36 and 45cc are beasts though. 😎

My 1/5 scale baja is still a basket case. Maybe I'll work on it over the winter.

Details please lol. What brand, HPI, KingMoto, Barca, Rovan? Displacement? Aluminum upgrades? Etc.. Don't mean to sound thirsty, just excited about getting mine. We salivated over the HPI 10yrs ago but the price was astronomical and out of my budget.

It was nothing special. Hobby king baja 260, tuned pipe albut stock other than that. Engine had an issue, found a crack in the case. Tigged it back together but never finished it. Need to just stick a different engine in it and it will be good to go.

Got bored and ran the toy 4x4 around the house lastnight. And after a few laps back and forth (my cabin is only 14' x 36') I was navigating the obstacles pretty well using the throttle sparingly. I was surprised to find the junk 2 speed ESC actually has brakes. If you're moving forward you have to double tap the trigger to go immediately into reverse.

Indestructible 1/12 scale 4x4 crawler. 540 motor, 25mph, wheelies donuts jumps etc and will survive a 20 foot drop on concrete repeatedly thanks to bendable plastic. $82 if you're willing to wait 2 months for delivery, or $121 if you want it in 2 weeks. And you can get replacement parts and put oil in the shocks. Excellent reviews and a great car for the price.

Wow! That's a pretty tough little car. Not a bad price either. You do realize that going to cut into my Hawk budget. lol

Considering converting it to brushless. Staying gas would be cheaper though.

Just watched another video where he took it out in the woods and put it up against 2 high dollar crawlers and it went everywhere they could and some places they couldn't. Now granted it's smaller and weighs less, but still, not bad at all.

Rovan has a massive brushless conversion kit, 200 amp ESC, 4-8s Lipo, 4 pole 1000kv motor, for $419. But you still have to buy the batteries and charger.
