A busy day yesterday. No drama from the production guys for two reasons. One, the ones that know me take on a different persona when I’m there, and two, there are so many new people in Production that I know very few of them.

I got down here Monday afternoon and couldn’t believe the pig sty the building has become. Shit is piled everywhere and OSHA violations evident throughout the place. The Service guys and I got a few issues taken care of on a 360 yesterday. There was a dinner meeting at a not so good Mexican restaurant last night that I blew off. So did the rest of the Sales and Service guys. It ended up with just the managers there and the rest of us at the hotel bar. I don’t know how many Coronas I had but it was somewhere between one and a dozen.

Some sort of a meeting this morning then us Service guys are going to install an over engineered, under performing height and swing limiter on the 360 that Production should be doing. Another dinner tonight that we will go to, then a pow wow with the French tomorrow. I’m out and gone after lunch tomorrow.

We're glad you checked in. The search and rescue teams we sent out were hampered by the fact that we didn't know where the explosion took place.....

Here's what we X-pect to see tomorrow:

The group takes a break for an outdoor wine and cheese tasting (ironically).
After an argument about out-of-pocket expenses incurred by cheesy to fix production problems, the production manager finally pays up. Mrs. cheesy heads home to make cheesy a tasty sandwich.

Cheesy is the younger better looking guy. The production manager is the guy who sucker-punches cheesy. The action starts at 1:40. Turns out the production manager does not like the taste of cheesy's knuckles.

Well now, that was anticlimactic.

After getting stuck with the previous nights bar tab, I woke up without a hangover and just felt chill. The nightmare is over. Feels like a load was lifted off my shoulders. A moment of Zen.

Spent a few minutes with the CS Supervisor in her office this morning, discussing my file system and how to find stuff no one else knows how to find. Went through a few things with the new hire on a machine he’ll be finishing. Then went around the building and said goodbye to those I still know, even if I didn’t like them. Got a few hugs, too.

Went to the staff meeting and decided to let the international CEO off the hook. That Zen thing again. It took her 18 hours to get to Beaufort from Paris and she looked like it. The sales guys can beat up on her tomorrow. Sat through a couple of Sales presentations, said my goodbyes and left. Tied up in Knoxville, TN tonight.

So, no drama. However, I am pretty sure that the two new guys are will be able to provide some entertainment in the coming weeks. I won’t be there to smack them across the nose with a newspaper to calm them down and the Jersey guy is kind of a pit bull anyway.

I guess it’s like the built up final episode of a tv series that turns out to be a dud.

It's gonna be a nice feeling tomorrow when you wake up, and while still in bed realize that no one else can make you be anywhere you don't want to be. Except Mrs. cheesy dragging you to chick stuff of course.
