Is this the one that uses three rivets, rather than screws? If so, you'll have to drill out the rivets. Unless you can loosen the intake boot from carb to engine, and rotate the carb so the float bowl rivets are accesable with a drill, you'll have to remove the carb.

I don't have one, but this is the procedure I think you'll have to do.

We got them out fine. Had to hit up home Depot for the m4-.7 bolts. Worked great, thanks.

No worries. Did you find that the float was just stuck?

That seems to be the case. When we finally got the bowl off everything was free and moved fine. I figure it broke loose when we center punched the security bolts for drilling.

With regard to the technical questions, I'm keeping track of them. Expect some delay in response, there is a considerable linguistic barrier. I barely speak Chinese, and they barely speak English.

Meanwhile, here is a pile of 500 Hawks.

Adam....tell me about the 500s.

I have a feeling this is a pile of 500 bikes, not 500cc engines installed in bikes! Sorry...:(

Adam, any chance you can find out the recommended fork oil volume and type of fork oil for the Hawks? Much appreciated. I am not sure if I am low on oil or have another issue with one of my two Hawks.

Could a power increase occur when changing the rear sprocket to a 45 tooth, I already have a 17 tooth on my hawk.

Please let us know where you find a 44 or 45 tooth rear sprocket for these!
