Never heard of it. Nice looking bike though, and easily upgraded to 200cc.

This is one of the coolest Chinabikes I've seen for sale locally. The price looks OK also.

Not one of the more useful human creations but it would be fun for kids in the cul-de-sac.

I agree. However, that seller is asking a price of $2,500, without the sidecar! 8O

I can't imagine they are worth that much but perhaps the Baby Boomer collecting market is very strong. :?:

Back in the early 2000's, a now defunct importer/ brand KPX Motors of Tucson imported the Hartford bikes before they switched to Zongshens. Hartford are still in business, and a few months ago I inquired as to whether their bikes would be available in the US, and they said if an importer would pick them up, they could be available here once again. They would definitely be an improvement to the typical Chinese offerings as far as quality is concerned. Google them for articles, and there are a few youtube videos. The website is www.hartford-motors.com.tw

The 750 Viragos are very good bikes. The starter is their weak point, and sometimes can be fixed for almost free in less than an hour, if you know the secret. The solution is posted on Dan's website. $500 for this one looks like a steal for someone. They book at $1,300. This is a desirable bike for people making bobbers or cafes. If it was mine I'd leave it stock except for the 'buckhorn' handlebars...

I had two of those viragos. Mine had the starter issues too. Great bike except the air suspension leaked and that it ran out of top end quick.

Was the starter an easy/cheap fix?

I always liked the Virago's for some reason. They still command top dollar in these parts! Well, pretty much anything with wheels command's top dollar here...
