NT

The only maintenance issue I'm aware of, a chain guard fell off.

Fantastic! That's an awesome adventure.

Given the time difference, you might already be in Marree as I type this.

Birdsville

OzRider would like to point out, he got to Birdsville before Mrs OzRider!
Only about another 360km of dirt, then sealed road for about 1300km home to Brisbane. I'll see him at work on Monday morning. I'm sure he'll post a full report here in due course.

The sting is always in the tail!

Well, back at work at 0600 Monday 28 Sep. Arrived home at 10PM AEST (2200hrs) after 14 hours ride from Quilpie to Brisbane. Did a few more kms than hoped for when MrsOz rode past and I hadn't noticed.

The final tally was 5545kms in 8 riding days, 9 days in total.

Last day was a 1016.4kms.

The bikes went better than expected as they were totally "unsuitable" for the distance, load, road conditions. In-fact if you asked the BMW/KTM etc pilots were bloody stupid for doing such a ride.
AND THATS WHAT IT WAS ALL ABOUT!

Full report and pics (once collated) will be posted.
Thanks to Ian4306 for relaying updates, no service of any kind and limited electric light in the more remote communities.

That's an average of 693km per day! You win the iron butt award for that adventure.

Thumbs Up

What a wonderful adventure.

Taking two bikes of questionable quality ( as some people in an austrian forum referred to the V-Raptor.) and taking it nearly untested on this really great trek.

But indeed, al lot of european Motorcyclists think adventure riding is possible only with big BMW s and the like.

I hope you find the time to write the full story.

Thumbs up and lots of respect.

Panic Pete
