DMV Plates

I'm trying to get my Hawk registered for the road and get it's plates. I filled out all my paperwork and sent my fee $ to DMV. Got a letter back saying they need "Federal Certification Label". They said it should be on the bikes suspension. I haven't seen anything like that on the bike. Any advice on what to do to move forward?

That might have been a nice way of telling you the RPS Hawk is not welcome in your state...which is? Don't know why the manufacture's don't go through the Epa process to get '49 state' approval. My plate is located on the frame behind the fuel tank. Here is the plate on my Bashan BSR:

The standard hawk will not have that label. The Hawk DXL will. Maybe one of the Hawk DXL owners on here could post or send to a picture of the label so you could send to them.

I didn't choose to pay extra for the Brozz to get the seat ,and counterbalanced motor, but rather to know I would be getting a bike that had the required placards to have the MCO converted to an actual DMV title. I spent an extra $30 letting a local title service do all the paperwork.. If you have such a service that you can deal with they may be able to do something for you. I hope you can get it registered..

I chose the TBR7 for the same reason, the TBR7 has the proper federal placards as well, on the swingarm.

In New Jersey it registered with no issues because it was also on the manufacturers approved list. Likely one of the strictest states behind California.

How would I go about finding a service title business in my area? Google search "Local Title Service"?

You may be able to search in the Yellow Pages,or Google Automobile Documentation, and Registration... Here is the one I use in Ripley.. Towns further away from a DMV office are probable more likely to have one. If you can't find one ,maybe a used car lot,or friend that trades vehicles a lot can fill you in..https://www.b2byellowpages.com/compa...place-inc.html
