i would think the speedo cable needs lubrication. try a little penetrating spray down the inside of the cable just under the speedo connection. i think what is happening is that the inner cable is catching , then twisting up, then finally releasing causing the indicator to increase. just a thought.

disregard this if it is a digital speedo

Welcome aboard .... and good looking bike  BB is right. Start with the cable and lube it, and all the others too, with some quality lubricant.

only when accelerating? not when cruising?

might need something to filter the power input into the display. voltage fluctuations and electronic noise could be messing with it.

a sparkplug/wire that is jumping to ground can also doe funny things to digital electronics.

Re-seat the connector. check for loose pins in the multiplug not making connection. grounds also play important role in electronics. check for bad wire harness too (ie damaged wires).

definitely check the connectors (add some dielectric grease) and check the grounds.

if its happening at acceleration but not cruising then the movement of a connector bundle could be causing it.

I wish CF moto sold that 650 in the US. I think they have even stopped selling scooters here.
