I tried to do that but it wasn't wide enough to fit them. I used some holes in the silver things on the sides, just used a nut and bolt, it was very easy to install.

Hawk 250 fender eliminator

Bought a universal enduro tail light off amazon, has integrated blinkers and holds the license plate. I think it looks a lot better than the bulky stock fender.

Ive never owned one but the one I like is the ice bear maddog, they used to have a wide non rounded tire but the gen IV has a skinnier tire and one sided swing atm which I think looks pretty cool

I see this thread has died a while ago but just picked up some ninja 250 wheels and ready to get this going. I will try to document everything and put pictures up so others can know how to do this....
