I may try that. I usually run around 25 psi but air up higher usually around 32psi as it helps with the unbalanced wheel wobble. I think the rim lock is mostly there for when you are running low...

You'll love it. There's something to be said about going fast on a slow bike and this one delivers on most anything you can throw at it and when anything breaks cheap to repair.. loads of fun.....
