The XT225 Fired Right Up

I'm back in the mountains of Western North Carolina for the Summer and my 2005 Yamaha XT225 started right up. It still has the original battery and was not on a battery tender. I did have StaBil in the bike.

She is a joy to ride here where there are curves and elevation changes.

I trailered the Qlink XF200 and the Dang Fong Bobber so I have five bikes plus two ATVs and two UTV to riide so am in hog heaven. Everything started except for the and Pride UTV which needed a new battery. The diesel Bobcat mini track hoe and the Kabota tractor both started right up.

My new play toy for maintaining the driveway and logging roads.

DF at 5300 feet on the Cherohala Skyway.

5300 feet! 8O That's a decent little bike.

I bet you could make some money with that Bobcat; I know I would.

The Yamaha XT225 is a great bike; I'm not surprised it started right up for you.

I also have a 2005 XT225 - it's my back and forth to work bike.
Got about +21,000 miles on her. Only problem I had was last year the stator
needed to be replaced. Besides the tires (many times) I've change just the
front brake shoes once.

Hope it goes another 20,000

Cheers.

If you keep changing the engine oil regularly, and adjusting the valve lash periodically, I'm sure you will reach 40,000 miles. My Zongshen 200GY-2 has a Yamaha clone engine, and I ridden the bike for 40,000 miles.

I think those mini excavators are quite a hot ticket item for theft around our parts. They sure are nice though.
