gio 250 x31. air filter and chain issue.

i just got my x31 about 4 weeks ago and theres 2 things i wanted to ask. what number chain does the 19 16 take and is there anything i can do about the relatively poor airbox. i am thinking about buying the carb with the filter attached right to the carb and theres no boot or carb box. is there any people that have tried them or have them on their bikes that could let me know if they work and how good they work. thanks

The chain is 428 and as for the air box i removed mine, changed the carb to the mikuni one, rejetted 25 pilot and 110 main and i'm using a K&N filter, i also removed the electric start. http://www.chinariders.net/modules.p...wtopic&t=10465

Waynev...nice work.

Any issues with the filter bouncing around in there? I noticed its not supported in any way...granted its a short piece of hose.

Nope, it sits nice in there when the seat is on and i've had no problems with it.
