Bars for Konker/Q Links?

Hey guys, I haven't bought bars in ages, but since I pretzeled my Konkers a bit on Saturday night, where would be the best place to pick up replacements? Thanks in advance!

Bars are bars.

Go to the local motorcycle shop and pick out a air you like. I recommend aluminum because they are stronger and absorb vibration better. A good cheap pair is aroud $50.

Sounds good, I was just curious if there was a preferred place to buy them. I think the last time I bought bars was for my old CR125. Way way back!

You could find them on line maybe a tad cheaper but it's nice to see and hold them to see what you like.

I second the suggestion to get aluminum handlebars, Stew. Rocky Mountain ATV has Tusk handlebars, as well as Pro Taper handlebars, et cetera.

The Tusk T-10 Aluminum 7/8" Handlebar is only $27.99!

If your back gives you trouble after long rides, this would be an opportunity to use ATV high bend bars. I put some on my TW, and it's much better.

FWIW, I installed a pair of generic gy2 hondoid bars on a Zong that I had readily available and free from a parts bike...I like them more than the original, a little wider I think.

The bars Spud posted look like the Moose bars, same bend, I put on the YZ and I like them.

The aluminum won't bend as easy in a crash, and is easier on the hands by dampening vibration.

As usual, I agree with Brother Weld. I installed Pro Tape SE ATV High Bend Handlebars on my Zong, and I like them a lot.

Click on the "Sizing Chart" tabs at the RMATV/MC website pages, and you can see the width, height, and pullback measurements for all the different handlebars.

Thanks guys, lots of good info here! I like the look of those Tusks, might end up ordering a set of them. I'll check my closest Kawi shop in the Fort as well but there isn't too much cheap at that place!

Oh, I meant to ask as well, the ATV bars sound like a good idea, are they still compatible with the stock cables or do you need longer ones?

It's a minor stretch with my TW, but no problem with the stock cables. Perhaps you can get a sense of how much slack you have now, but removing the clamps and lifting the bars a couple of inches. Try that from the seating position.

I had to cut about one inch from both ends of the handlebars to use my stock, Zongshen cables. However, my trusty angle grinder made short work of the job.
