Bars for Konker/Q Links?
Hey guys, I haven't bought bars in ages, but since I pretzeled my Konkers a bit on Saturday night, where would be the best place to pick up replacements? Thanks in advance!

Bars are bars.
Go to the local motorcycle shop and pick out a air you like. I recommend aluminum because they are stronger and absorb vibration better. A good cheap pair is aroud $50.

Sounds good, I was just curious if there was a preferred place to buy them. I think the last time I bought bars was for my old CR125. Way way back!

You could find them on line maybe a tad cheaper but it's nice to see and hold them to see what you like.

I second the suggestion to get aluminum handlebars, Stew. Rocky Mountain ATV has Tusk handlebars, as well as Pro Taper handlebars, et cetera.

If your back gives you trouble after long rides, this would be an opportunity to use ATV high bend bars. I put some on my TW, and it's much better.

FWIW, I installed a pair of generic gy2 hondoid bars on a Zong that I had readily available and free from a parts bike...I like them more than the original, a little wider I think.

The bars Spud posted look like the Moose bars, same bend, I put on the YZ and I like them.
The aluminum won't bend as easy in a crash, and is easier on the hands by dampening vibration.

Click on the "Sizing Chart" tabs at the RMATV/MC website pages, and you can see the width, height, and pullback measurements for all the different handlebars. Spud

Thanks guys, lots of good info here! I like the look of those Tusks, might end up ordering a set of them. I'll check my closest Kawi shop in the Fort as well but there isn't too much cheap at that place!
Oh, I meant to ask as well, the ATV bars sound like a good idea, are they still compatible with the stock cables or do you need longer ones? |

It's a minor stretch with my TW, but no problem with the stock cables. Perhaps you can get a sense of how much slack you have now, but removing the clamps and lifting the bars a couple of inches. Try that from the seating position.

I had to cut about one inch from both ends of the handlebars to use my stock, Zongshen cables. However, my trusty angle grinder made short work of the job.
