Been gone a while.....w
Well I've been gone from the forum for a while but that's because I recently did this:
And no that's not a lake beach....that's the real beach....and that's the day after a 3m tide came over a very bogged and now buggered range rover :( Long story....got bogged....winch extension strap snapped....winch shear pin sheared off....tide came in...wasn't a good day! BUT the ole zong came to the rescue the next day! Not only did she get me to the beach though some very tough offroading tracks, with terrible terrain and a few swampy creeks, but she also took me down the beach without a problem back to the car. With a backpack stuffed with a spare hand winch, a 8tonne extension strap and a massive shovel the bike did rather well I thought! I must have had at least 25kg on my back and the ole zong didn't skip a beat the whole way For the past few weeks she's taken me to and from work without any issues and has now finally been broken in as I just clocked up 1000km. Going to treat her to an oil change soon for being such a good girl Last edited by Fonfe; 05-30-2013 at 09:20 AM. Reason: Typo |

Zongshen, RRU (Rover Recovery Unit).
I'm shuddering at the thought of your Rover bathing in salt water. Does it still run ok?
