BB gun time.

My oldest daughter has been wanting a bb gun for awhile. Finally picked up a crossman for $35 at a sporting goods store.

I have it sighted in well for me. I have been grouping BBs at about 25 feet in a 2 inch circle.

She is having trouble hitting the target. Black is mine. Purple are hers.

Nice! I love air gunning. Don't need to drive all the way to the range to have some fun!

We have spent a few hours with a $40 investment. 2400 BBs $3.50.

WalMart also carried the original Red Ryder at Christmas time. Not a modern version but a copy of the original. The 'A Christmas Story' version.

I don't think I saw those at the store. Probably best that she has this one. Not the most careful person.

The plan is to step up to a 22 later.

Excellent!! Weaponry is like motorcycles. It's the ones who start late and have no respect for the tool that are the ones who get hurt.
When the time comes for that .22, I'd suggest Calibri's. They're very low FPS (625?) and are very quiet. I have air guns that are louder and twice the FPS.

I pulled this crosman 766 out of the dumpster a few months ago. Ordered a seal kit for it today. The pump does nothing right now.

I will. Looks to be pretty simple. I think that I only need to replace the one seal, but I ordered all of them.

Tonight we sighted in the scope on the new one. I have never done that before, but it seems to work well now. It was shooting about 5 inches to low and an inch to the left. She seems to be able to hit the target now.

The 766 has a broken rear sight and it appears that some drug the end of the barrel on the ground. I think I can repair the sight. The barrel may not be an issue.
