A leap of faith or not..
I have been so tempted to buy one of these for the boy.
he gets his licence in just under a year.. But I am finding it hard to hand over the $ after the last 2 china bikes I have owned... and reading about all the issue's with the Hawk & TT250 hasn't helped.. For not much more I can pick up a good used CRF250L/KLX250/TTR250/DRZ250.. I would like another Chinese bike but it has to be totaly reliable as I can't have Caleb stranded somewhere because of the bike... I do like the Motard version " never had a Motard"... I could use it for work till he gets his licence... but the trail version would be the better choice... Have been in and eye balled them... they are well made & put togeather.... they need a black or silver frame... grey looks a bit cheap/unfinished.. Motors a 250cc lincon .. how good are they ??

Is that an SSR? I have a dealer less that a mile from but they don't have anything above a SR189.

That is a really sweet bike but I see what you mean about the frame, that looks so cheap. Winter project to strip it down and paint/powder coat it a nice gunmetal silver hahah.

AFAIK the only things we currently get in the US from skyteam and lincon are 50cc to 125cc mainly pit bikes and grom clones. The ones I've seen - a few grom clones branded as icebear with a lincon engine and ssr branded skyteam pit bikes and grom clones with skyteam engine seemed fine. You don't hear many complaints. If you do it's normally inline with a maniacally inept person who does not want to learn. Parts availability are normally cited as a problem but I don't find that to be true. I suspect this is from people going to the distributors and dealers. I have no idea how they handle a 250cc but I suspect it would be a good to better example of a china bike. The primer colored frame seems to be skyteams signature.
