New Tires - Shinko 705's

Hello all, I recently got my shinkos. Last night I was trying to mount the tires and pinched/pierced my front tube trying to get the tire properly mounted. My question is, what tube do you guys use for the hawk front/rear wheel? I noticed that the front shinko tire has written on it: tubeless tire, any thoughts on that? I did some browsing on google and other forums said they run tubes in them with no issues.

What's your thoughts on this?

Also, I ordered some spokes from my rear rim, I took measurements of the one of the stock spokes and they matched up pretty close to what I bought.

I don't know what every body else is doing for tubes, but I reccomend heavy duty tubes, like Michelins. They are a lot tougher. One of the China bike problems is the spokes. They are borderline at best. Work on the road OK, but marginal off road. Problem is the guage of the spokes. I would go up one guage in spoke thickness (guage), if I was replacing spokes on the rear. I notice the spokes you looked at do not specify the guage. The stock spokes hold up OK on the front if you keep then tight...ARH

I have over 600 miles on the shinko's 705 and have no problems so far with the factory tubes.

I measured the stock spokes thickness, they seem to be the exact same. I know aliexpress has some as well but I've never used that site so I was hesitant. I'll let you guys know how those I ordered on eBay go. The guy on ebay's feedback seemed legit so, we'll see.

I assume you're talking about these:

New Shoes!

Not to side track, but...what do you think of the tires? What size did you go with? AND...like everyone always says, "Show us some pictures!"

I haven't ridden on them yet! I can't wait though, I'm waiting on spokes and then I'll be able to give a review. But so far, the tires seem great and durable, it was easy mounting them to the rims with just some tire spoons and elbow grease. Plus amazon shipped them straight to my door.

Yes, those are the ones. They can be difficult to get in. Put enough air in it to make it round with no wrinkles. Use talcum powder to make them slip around more easily. Then air it up to normal pressure, then let the air out again so it can centalise. Then you should be golden. Sounds complicated, but after you do it once, it'll be like falling off of a log. By the way, make sure the spokes are tensioned correctly. You don't want a broken spoke going through a new twenty dollar inner tube....ARH
