I'm envious you got to ride yours...we got a spell of 15 degree weather and new snow last night
Hmm, my bracket was so mangled and out of shape to begin with and it doesn't line up at all, it'd break the plastics to get it bolted up, tomorrow ill do a bit a hacking on it and ill make it work

Its been pretty cold here, I took it for a test ride while it was 35* outside, and it is really cold going 40mph with a hoodie, my visor fogged up so I had to open it, I was well frozen!

Yeah, mine (my sons actually) was supposed to ship today according to don and he said I would have a tracking number today as well but I haven't received anything. Maybe I'm just impatient...

I have a modded side panel on my Hawk. The tab was broken when I got the bike so I drilled a hole and used a screw that I painted black.

They certainly had my blue Enforcer in stock as of Monday.
That Texas warehouse was not what I was expecting, it was in with a bunch of strip mall type shops that were in converted old warehouses, it had a sign for some import apparel place on it. The guy pretty much just pushed the box straight off of the loading dock onto the truck bed 2 ft below, which broke the fork mount off the crate, no wonder these this get damaged during shipping.

It was definitely not the best side of Dallas, all those strip mall stores were all Chinese garbage importers, the same crap you see on that side of eBay. I saw not a single person who wasn't homeless in the hour I spent looking around there. Not sure how those shops stay open, unless they're the people selling on eBay offering US shipping.

I kinda like the look of the bike without the gas tank plastics on, aside from the unsightly mounting tabs on the gas tank.

Yep, that's the exact one that I had break off.

Yeah they told me the same thing for a week, that's why I ended up just driving down there to get it, they still need to refund me the $150 for shipping.

I removed the tank shrouds and I also like the look. The partial black side panel is something that a member here did here first. It was some guy named pcspecialist, He has a green Hawk.

Wow...I shouldn't be surprised...but I am. I feel like they did in the Wizard of Oz when they pulled back the curtain.

I like the blue too. Did you add those gold lever and hand grips? They look cool.

Question for Hawk owners about decals

I removed the decals on the swing arm with the letters and numbers...looks so much better.

I went to remove the decals on the plastic. It was 10 degree out when I attempted this, so I'm sure the cold is not helping things. But, my decals on the Enforcer plastic are not like the decals on the swing arm. The swing arm decal was a simple sticker, if you will.

However, the decals on the plastic are raised; they are thick. I picked at one and it is like a hard, raised plastic itself. Are the decals on Hawk plastic the same way?

They are a thin plastic but were very easy to remove. Being that it is cold try using a hair dryer or heat gun on low setting to warm them up. Should make it easier to remove.

Yep I bought the grips for $8 and the levers for $27, I haven't put the new brake lever on yet, that'll get done today.

Levers: http://www.ebay.com/itm/172563648214
(They are offered in many other colors too)

Grips: http://www.ebay.com/itm/172045491856
Again I ordered gold but there are many other colors.

I don't like the stock cheap plastic throttle twist, so I'm going to order one of these http://www.ebay.com/itm/302224848858

I also ordered these rim reflective decals in both blue and gold, not sure which I'll use or if I'll use them at all, but for the price it's no loss.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/332026001939

I'm going to try installing a KEIHIN 722A carb today for fun, I had it laying around so even if it doesn't work well it's no loss, I don't have any other jets for it and I can't really find any online so I could always just fill it with solder and drill it out to whatever size works, I've done that before with success. It is a CV carb with a butterfly valve, not a slider.

But later on I'll probably order up one of these:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/152340432385
It looks like there is a 2 stroke and 4 stroke variant of that carb, lots of listings on eBay for that carb, but that is the lowest price one I found with US shipping. It requires an adapter boot, I found that on Amazon https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B013LHVG7O/ it qualifies for prime.
It'd be a tight fit in that adapter boot, but I'll probably ream it out so it doesn't crack over time from being stretched too much.

Thanks for all the info. I like the idea of the reflective rim tape. Makes more visible at night.
