I was looking at my header pipe yesterday, would I be able to disconnect it and knock the cat out from the rest end of it? It seems like it is kind of close to the end.

You will need to cut it open to get it out. It's in there pretty tight. I don't know what they use to attached the guts to the pipe because it was hell getting out. You could also just cut the cat completely off and replace with a section of pipe. The only reason I decided to gut the cat was because I didn't have a piece of pipe laying around. Here's my thread on it. http://chinariders.net/showthread.php?t=17913&page=3

If you don't have a welding machine you can always go to the local muffler shop and pay them a few bucks to weld up.

Hopefully tonight I'll be able to get a few little things done on my hawk. Aiming to have the rear fender deleted so to speak. And either some painting of the grey parts or/and cat removal from the stock exhaust. If I can I'm going to try and make a video or atleast take a bunch of pics of everything (:

I have to agree with the painting of the gray parts. Changes the whole look of the bike.

That didn't turn out too bad really. If it really bothers you buy a TT250 unit and start over lol.

Lol the beagle has ridden on atvs but I don't think shed like 2 wheels lol. And yeah it doesn't look bad at all honestly. I just don't like the stock license plate light there so I'm going to get an led smaller one and put that in. It came our decent for me using a hand saw and not a dremel lol.

Yeah. I like the LED rear light with turn signals built in, and license plate light all-in-one...ARH

So I noticed one of the studs on my rear sprocket is loose. But I can't tighten the nut because it's already tight. Is there any did to this or should I just wait till my new sprockets come in? Also how off is the stock Speedo on a 2017? I haven't gotten my phone mount to do Gps speed yet. I hit just under 60 on stock Speedo yesterday which is new for me lol.

Stock speedo is way off plus the odometer is in kilometers. Most of us have replaced the stock speedo with the digital from mjstef hawkclusters@gmail.com. Megadan has a write up on the sprocket bolts here. http://chinariders.net/showthread.php?t=19265 this only seems to be an issue on the 2017 models.

Thanks for the reply! I do intend to purchase a cluster from him once I have the extra money (: with that being said. My sprockets will be here this week. Can I use the stock chain as long as I keep it properly lubricated or should I wait until I purchase a new chain?

I have over 2000 miles on the stock chain with very little chain stretch. It will last as long as you keep it lubricated and I don't mean just spraying it with chain lube. When you do the sprocket swap take the chain off and clean it real good and either soak it in a synthetic gear oil or hot paraffin wax with graphite. Paraffin wax will stay cleaner longer as dirt and dust will not stick to it. The stock chain is like the rest of the bike. it comes with Very little or no lubrication at all. Most have over looked this step and greased and lubed up every thing except the chain. Lack of lubrication is the main cause of chain wear and stretching.

So I friggen love this bike. I ride it every day. I've only taken it off road once. And because of that I've been toying with the idea of getting a different set of wheels and putting pure street tires on them, and swapping if I decide to off road, which I don't see happening too often. I REALLY like they way they look with the ninja wheels. I'm thinking instead of ordering new tires I might just buy a set of ninja wheels and make my own reject supermoto (: my sprockets come in tomorrow thanks to Amazon and there unusually slow service.
