I looked at mine last night. I have about 3/4" clearance between the carb and frame.

The one I used is the one I linked. I wonder if they sent you the wrong one or sent me the wrong one that worked. I'll look to see if there is a part number on it.

Where you ever able to figure out what it was?

This sounds great! Does anyone think the Keihin PWK 30 carburetor and the angled carburetor adaptor would fit with the TT250? The easy access to the idle mixture screw sparked my interest.

I don't see why it wouldn't work. The hawk and TT250 use the same type head.

Hi Jerry - does the Keihin PWK 30 carb intake fit into the airbox without modification or is the pod filter a must? Considering ordering one. Thanks!

The existing intake piping will be too small of a diameter. I was going with a pod filter from the get go. You could make it work with the right silicone elbow coupler. https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_fro...elbow&_sacat=0

Perfect, thanks...the only drawback I can see with the pod filter is water resistance (it could suck water into the carb during a heavy downpour or submersion), otherwise I'm sure it opens up airflow substantially to the carb. I went with that first eBay link - 90 degree 2" silicone elbow coupler. I'll get some hose clamps to secure it to the intake and the carb inlet. Ordered the Keihin carb from Aliexpress. Can't beat the price and it'll be nice to have better fuel flow into the engine. Thanks for providing the links in your earlier post, huge help.

I went ride about a month ago at the spillway. It rained pretty much the whole time we were there. Went through some deep water holes. I had no problems with it sucking in any water. Most of the filter is covered. What little that is exposed had some mud fling on it but filter never got wet enough to cause any issues. I did spray it with some K&N filter oil so water pretty much just beads off.

Did you end up just cutting off that tube from the air box and leaving it in place? I guess it could come in handy for tool storage underneath the seat. Could make a little hinged door where the air tube used to be located...
