New exhaust

I'm guessing that's where that bracket goes? I really want to put my 17t front sprocket on but don't want to buy a new chain right now.

Yeah man, thats where everyone that I know who runs that exhaust has put it , basically it's a wonder there is that good a place seeing how the exhaust isn't made for a Clone to start with, but it looks like it was, looks damn good i think ! That's pretty much the same pipe i run ,it's pretty loud w/o the DB killer bolted in but I like it that way heheand it's easy to throw it in there if you need to!

This came in the mail today. Mikuni 26mm. I know a lot about engines but don't know anything about carbs. Any insight to pass along?

Take the floatbowl off , look through your jet kit i see in your picture there and put a 115 main in it.Put the floatbowl back on. Then locate your fuel mixture screw ( should be on the bottom of the carb , on the end where the air filter connects ) GENTLY close it til you feel it "seat"., then back it out 1 and a half turns .that should give you a good setting to start from, and should allow the bike to start and run. I set mine to 1-1/2 turns like this and have never had to touch it again .

The idle screw is on the side of the carb that is NOT facing the camera in your photo ,after you install the carb and crank the bike you can adjust the idle with it up or down as needed . Might want to install the slide and throttle cable ,etc with the carb not mounted yet so it will be easier to orient the slide onto the "tab guides" you will see inside the carb once you take the cap off so you can see how the slide drops in.
Make sure you seal everything during the install ( gaskets, etc) well as any air / vacuum leaks will cause no end of grief trying to figure out why it won't run right .

It's not that bad really but it is kinda intimidating the first time you do it ,if you have any buds that know anything about carbs might ask them for help but you can prolly do it, there are a few videos on YouTube as well, search "VM 22 Mikuni carb install Tune" and you should get a few Videos to watch which will help you understand what needs to be done. A lot of the install / tune carb videos are on scooter motors and not on grom clones but the mechanical part of what needs to happen is exactly the same .Bangbang scooter gang has a fair Video of how to tune the carb as well.,on youtube.

Good Luck !

I don't know... somethings 26mm, is probably 22mm, Like I said I don't know anything about carbs. I will for sure learn what I need to before I do any swapping. Wont be any rushing for this.

RedCrowRides--- Thanks for the info.

Yeah the 17t front makes the gears a lot "longer" ,even makes the super low 1st gear in these Grom clones usable. ,cuts the revs way down on top end, too so the engine isn't running near as hard and can also add a few mph up top.

They are great if you primarily street ride and commute and don't need a lot of low end pull for stunting or trail riding.
