Craigslist Deal

This was a heckuva deal. Probably just needed the carb cleaned out. It didn't last 24 hours before it was sold.

It’s sold. A guy I work with was going to buy it sight unseen but it sold quickly

Needs tires and tubes, a battery, a carb clean at a minimum, and probably a bunch of other small work after sitting for so long. Still, even with needing that stuff that bike would have sold for $1500 at a minimum. Must have been desperate for the money from the sale, or there is something else wrong with it.

I would have bought that bike in a heart beat... NC is just down the street from me... would have loved to tinker with that until spring time... would have been a great bike for the wife to ride.. geeze... well... you snooze you lose.. and I lost out... took mine out for a ride and the ole' Roketa did great... put the new speedometer cable on and she had no problem hitting 60... of course I only weigh about 135... lol but she did me good... rode smooth...

To get those kind of deals you have to have cash in your pocket, be able to leave work or home at the drop of a hat, and live relatively close to the seller. Maybe next time

It's got nothing on the DR 650 and XR 650L bikes <5 years old that come up <$3,000 sometimes.. That's been how I've been getting mine for decades..

Reason being they handle interstates and are "apocalypse engine"(air-cooled and last forever) bikes..
