The frame setup seems to be the same on the TT, Hawk and XTR(and probably a lot of other Chinese bike using this engine). A square down tube to a bolted on engine mount and double tube under mount frame.
Am I way off here? Or should this CSC skid plate be, at least, a close fit?
Thought you didn't want to mod and tinker lol?

I don't want to mod or tinker, but a skid plate is kind of important for an off-roaded bike and I thought the XTR came with one from the factory. I also have a serious hold back for having to spend $130 for the CSC plate...that's F-ing nuts

I looked for a skid plate - but nothing even for other bikes, seems local lads don't like want or think it's needed

No drain on the bottom unless some odd one has it, yeah they drain via the side cap and that cap/O ring is the same for the drain plug and the valve covers.

I have no idea if it would help you in this case, but i remember a bit back before i joined someone made a skid plate for their hawk from a Walmart cutting board. While it doesn't seem the greatest, it does seem like it would work temporarily.

Info from China? nope
It is for vertical 125-250 engines and I suspect it is the style where the frame doesn't go under the engine.

That is all and more then the listings says.

Wanna try 1 out? PM me

Those plates are too small for the XTR, plus not the protection I'm looking for.
Thanks for the heads up....I just have to decided if I want to pay the $130 for the CSC plate or not If it saves a hit to the engine just once it'll be worth it.

Just get a piece of aluminum plate and make your own. It doesn't have to be this fancy. My first one was made for a piece if 1/8" steel plate I had laying around.

OKay ...Nice work on this one I am considering fab-ing something up, problem is I don't have the facilities and tools to do it right.

The steel one was done with basic tools. I use my grinder to score the plate were in wanted to bend. I used a jig saw with a metal cutting blade to make the radius and a hole saw for drain plug access. I'm sure aluminum would be much easier to work with.
