Put oil in, run it and poof new nuts/bolts appear!!!

So i was just bragging 3 weeks 1400 miles. Well that ended this morning. I changed the oil yesterday and stuck on my drain plug was a little nut. Weird I thought to myself so I put new oil in started it everything was great. New spark plug, lube chain ect. It started just fine actually ran really really good cruising around 54mph then I heard almost like a real deep pop and bike lost power.

When you try to start it al you hear is starter noise, getting fire and fuel. Just nothing happens and not even trying to happen. Little up set but hey 190 here i come.

I'm such a car guy with that being said I havent even drove my car in almost a month. I love my little bike. Its under warranty most likely but still depressing. Thanks for letting me vent!!!!

So, does this mean your engine is toast? I feel bad for you. I hate stories like this. It makes you want to avoid these bikes like the plague...just when you start thinking they are okay, you read this type of story. I’m sorry this happened to you.

was it a nut or a bolt? I can't think of any small nuts inside the engine, but I haven't split the cases on a lot of engines either. Would it be possible to post of pic of the nut? I'm curious because I own a Hellcat too.

I've been impressed by how quiet and smooth the engine is on the Hellcat. I have two Honda CT70's that I installed Piranha 125cc engines in both of them. They are great engines, no issues at all, but they both have what sounds like to be piston slap, especially at idle when cold. The Hellcat is a quiet and smooth as can be, maybe giving me a false since of security. I'm very interested to find out what failed in your engine.

Could be, I didnt think of that. I guess it could fall down the timing chain channel into the crankcase.

Yep, that looks like the locking nut for the valve adjuster. Looks like you will be lucky and the valve just got out of adjustment enough to loss compression or not opening the valve.

Bummer to hear. On the whole, the Chinese have their motors down and have for a very long time. This is a rarity.
I hope you get it straightened out soon.

What dealer did you buy your bike from? I ask because a dealer who would warranty your engine and have a new one sent to you seems like one I’d like to buy from.
