HEADLIGHT / highbeam

so the hawk has about 500 miles and the headlight has been acting goofy.. It will flicker on and off while riding, then quit working. So Ive only been using the high-beam which works great until last night, it also just stopped.. is this a common issue with stock headlight? could it be a battery/charging issue? (electric start works great still) any recommendations for a fix or replacement?

thanks , audihuff

Have you checked all the connectors for the headlight and switch? I replaced the dim stock bulb with a LED bulb. Much brighter. I'd give a link but the bulb I used is no longer available.

Well, if it isn't the connections at the bulb, and the bulb is good, then the next two places I would be looking is the left hand switch connection or the switch itself.

As far as LED headlights go, I absolutely love mine. https://www.superbrightleds.com/more...ens/4444/9994/

It is extremely bright AND it has a great cut off since the LED's are in the ideal optical position. It also runs no fan that can potentially go bad and the driver box is really small and easy to tuck wherever you need it to be. The low beam has a great cut-off line so it doesn't make people flash me with their brights, and the high beam has great distance and height.

You can see it against the wall of my garage in this video at 4:42. Trust me, this doesn't do it justice. This is without the stupid color filters on it that it comes with. The only downside is they are out of stock until the end of the month. They do have other styles, including one that has a built in driver. I run two of them in my Honda and they are also decently bright, though not quite as bright as this one. Personally, these would be worth the wait.
