Speedo stopped working suddenly

So i was riding and my digital speedometer just went blank. The other instruments are still working fine. I don't know where to start looking. Can someone help?

Does the backlight still work and just says 0 MPH? If so I would check the speed sensor on the front hub and the wires from the hub to the display. If the backlight isn't working then I'd check that the display still gets power. It might be a loose connection at the battery or at the connector also check for a blown fuse.

Ya it just says 0mph. I noticed a wire hanging from by the front tire and I think i see where it goes but it just kinda falls back out. I'll try to post a picture when I get out of work. Thanks.

I'm gonna quit while I'm ahead at this uploading images game. Anyway that's the part that was hanging so I only assume it's the Speedo cable. Does it need an adhesive to stay in the hole? It's all greased up if that helps.

New development*. I noticed the hole has a threaded hole and the hanging wire has a screw hole. I think I just have to figure out what screw I need. Is there supposed to be some indication of it going in the hole because it just seems to "sit" in the hole?

Okay. Seems like it did pull apart so I'll need a new cable. Doesn't seem too bad as long as I can find one.

It's a boom 125-11. I was hoping the place I bought it from could help but they're slow to respond.

I'm pretty sure all the Chinese Grom clones use the same generic front wheel speed sensor set up, parts kit.com has what you need for $12, here is a link to it, its also item #12

https://partskit.com/product/search/...ering%20System

It's for a TaoTao HellKat but i have a 2018 Vader and it looks just like mine so it should work , you can try calling Kronik Racing in Cali tho if you want to see if they might have one from BOOM / Baodiao.

Thanks for the help. Oh, and does is it still considered a grom clone if it looks more like a ninja clone?

if it's the "full size" Boom 125 then there is a possibility the cable wont be long enough , those are taller than the Vader or HellKat , but you could always splice the wires into your old one, and use the new sensor. That partskit site might have a "fiull size" pitbike with a cable that would work though, i dont really keep up with stuff that isnt the grom clone or the " lil duc" style clone.
