New KP 200

I have not seen much info on this bike, so I thought I would share my experience.

After building and selling a 2018 and a 2020 Brozz 250 I was looking to do a more street oriented bike. The Lifan KP 200 caught my eye. I really wanted to do another build from the crate, but could not find one at an online dealer. An email to American Lifan hooked me up with a dealer in Fayetteville, Arkansas that had a couple 2017 models in stock.

The dealer in Fayetteville is Fayetteville Wholesale Scooter and is located inside the Northwest Arkansas Mall. This is about 50 miles from my home. I visited the shop and after making a deal, the dealer sent me home with a new red KP 200 and a battery in a box.

After checking over the bike, filling and charging the battery. The gauges light up but the fuel pump does not run and the starter does not engage. A phone call to Robert the manager at Fayetteville Wholesale Scooter, we agreed that I would bring the bike back to Fayetteville for him to check out.

Robert checked the bike in the bed of my truck and said he had not seen any bikes like this and he would replace it. He did not have a new red one so I took this black bike. Robert installed the battery, fueled it and got it started before I left. I was very pleased with his service.

I have had a couple of weeks with this bike now, and about 150 miles. I am very impressed with the overall quality of this bike. The features I like best are the LED lighting everywhere, dual disk brakes, digital dash, easy to remove seat, and both center and side stands. There are even threaded bosses on the swing arm for paddock stand spools, but not really needed with the center stand.

Nice looking bike. I was always interested in the KP200. Glad to see someone on here actually has one. Personally i prefer the black over the red.

Ditto--very little info on the KP vs. the KPR and black looks better than red.

I also should have mentioned that I like the fact that the engine is liquid cooled and fuel injected. Seems to be running well during break in.

Could I ask what you paid for a new 2017 in 2020 please?

Thumbs Up KP 200 Speedometer

I had a chance to test the KP 200 speedometer against a GPS speedomdter and found the KP speedometer to be right on with the GPS speedo.
